To be legally married in Indonesia, a couple must obtain a religious certificate beforehand.
Different religions have different requirements as shown below;-
Moslem, Catholic, Presbyterian, Hindu and Buddha are religions officially accepted in Indonesia.
1. Moslem
• Copy of KTP (Bride & Groom)
• Copy of passports (Bride & Groom) – non-Indonesian
• Copy of Birth Certificates (Bride & Groom)
• Copy of Divorce Letter for 2nd Marriage
• Copy of Death Certificate for widow/er
• N1, N2, N3 – Surat Rujukan dari KUA setempat
• Photograph
2. Catholic
• Copy of KTP (Bride & Groom)
• Copy of passports (Bride & Groom) – non-Indonesian
• Copy of Birth Certificate (Bride & Groom)
• Renewed Baptism Certificate (Bride & Groom) – obtained from local Parish
• Libert Status (Bride & Groom) – obtained from local Parish
• Canon investigation – contact your local Parish Priest
• Delegation letters from your local Parish Priest (Bride & Groom)
• Sertifikat Kursus Pernikahan – for Indonesians
• Copy of passports / KTP of 2 witnesses
• Photograph
3. Presbytarian
• Copy of KTP / passport (Bride & Groom)
• Copy of Birth Certificates (Bride & Groom)
• Copy of Decree of Absolut – for 2nd Marriage
• Copy of Death Certificate for widow/er
• Copy of passports / KTP of 2 witnesses
• Photograph
4. Buddha
• Copy of KTP / passport (Bride & Groom)
• Copy of Birth Certificates (Bride & Groom)
• Copy of Baptism Certificate (Bride & Groom)
• Photograph
5. Hindu
• Copy of KTP / passport (Bride & Groom)
• Copy of Birth Certificate (Bride & Groom)
• Surat Keterangan Single dari Kelurahan (Bride & Groom)
• Photograph
6. Non-Indonesian citizens
